Aside from food, entertainment and fun activities, it’s a chance to build police-community connections that help create a safer San Francisco for us all.

REPORT: SFPD Resolve 99.9 Percent of Crisis-Related Calls Peacefully

The San Francisco Police Crisis Intervention Team 2020 Police Commission Report reveals that of the almost 50K annual crisis-related calls, the SFPD used force only 51 times—a use-of-force rate of 00.1 percent, per a Force Science Institute Force Science News report.

Coffee with a Cop Reemerges
after Pandemic Pause

As San Franciscans return to city living after a long pandemic pause, one of the first SFPD community events to reemerge is Coffee with a Cop. Hosted by the SFPD stations in their local districts, the events help police and local residents build community “one cup at a time.”
