The SFPD Bayview Station invites families to Read Aloud with the SFPD Dec. 11, from 11-11:30 a.m. at the Bayview/Linda Brooks-Burton Branch Library, during which an officer will read to young children.

Lt. Williams: A Light for Those
Who Are in Darkness   

Growing up in San Francisco’s Ingleside neighborhood, SFPD Lt. Wilfred Williams swam in Larsen Pool (now Sava), actively used City Recreation & Park facilities, participated in the Mayor’s Youth Summer Program and developed a deep connection to the city that culminated in his career as law enforcement professional in his hometown. 


Pedestrian, Cyclist Deaths Prompt State of Emergency Declaration

Prompted by the rising number of pedestrian and cyclist fatalities in San Francisco this year, the city’s Board of Supervisors unanimously declared a state of emergency in the city early last month.
